GRADING WORK IN HUDSON
Hudson is really two grading jobs depending on which side of US-19 you’re on. West of 19, the ground is low and close to the water table, and after a summer rain it shows you exactly where it holds. That side of town is fill-and-drainage work: bringing in material, raising the grade, and shaping the lot so water has somewhere to go instead of sitting in the yard for a week.
East of 19 it’s a different picture — acreage parcels where people are putting up homes, shops, and barns. Out there the work is building pads: cut, fill, compact, and set the elevation right the first time. Either side, the rule is the same. On low coastal ground, elevation isn’t a detail.
