Bushhogging on the Nature Coast

Bushhogging is heavy mowing — knocking down grass, weeds, palmettos, and light brush that a regular mower can’t touch. It keeps pastures usable, vacant lots legal, and property lines visible. On the Nature Coast, land doesn’t stay cut long, so this is maintenance, not a one-time fix.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

WHEN YOU NEED IT

You’re reclaiming a pasture

The field got away from you and now it’s weeds and saplings. Cutting it back is the first step to making it pasture again.

The county sent a letter

Overgrown lots draw code complaints. A day of mowing is cheaper than a fine.

You own land you don’t live on

Vacant land grows fast in Florida. Regular bushhogging keeps it from turning back into a clearing job.

You’re about to walk it with someone

Surveyor, buyer, fence contractor, builder — everything goes easier when they can actually walk the property.

HOW IT GOES

Text photos of the property to (352) 584-2842. Sam looks, walks it if it needs walking, and gives you one number. Then he shows up and cuts it. Same guy on the phone, same guy on the machine.

QUESTIONS

How thick can it be and still be bushhogging?

Grass, weeds, palmettos, and light woody brush are mowing work. Once you’re into real saplings and trees, it crosses into land clearing — different machines, different job. Send photos and Sam will tell you which one you’ve got.

What’s the difference between bushhogging and land clearing?

Bushhogging cuts vegetation down at ground level and it grows back. Land clearing removes it — trees, stumps, roots — so the ground can be used for something else. If you just need it knocked down and kept down, bushhogging is the cheaper answer.

How often does Florida land need mowing?

Depends on rain and the season. In the summer growing season, it comes back fast; winter is slower. The honest answer: mow it before it gets ahead of you, because heavy overgrowth costs more to cut than tall grass.

If it’s taller than the truck, send a photo — (352) 584-2842.
