GRADING WORK IN INVERNESS
Inverness isn’t flat, and that’s the whole story of grading here. The lakes country rolls, so most sites need actual cut-and-fill — take dirt off the high side, place it on the low side, and end up with a level pad on ground that wasn’t level to start with. That’s a different job than pushing sand around a flat lot, and it takes a plan before the machine ever moves.
Runoff direction matters more here than almost anywhere we work. On a lakeside or lake-adjacent lot, everything you grade eventually drains toward the water, so the slopes have to be shaped deliberately — away from the house, controlled on the way down, not carving a gully to the shoreline.
