Can you cut the palmetto without damaging my trees?
Yes. Bushhogging is mowing the understory — the palmetto, weeds, and light brush growing under and between your trees. We work around anything standing. If you want trees or stumps actually removed, that’s land clearing, which is a different job we also do.
Do I need a permit to bushhog wooded acreage in Weeki Wachee?
Mowing understory typically doesn’t require a permit because nothing is being removed and no dirt is moving.
